TeleVisit Guide

Televisit/Telehealth Guide for Patients

  • What is a televisit?

A televisit is a one-on-one office visit with your provider that is performed over video.

  • How do I schedule a televisit?

Call our office to schedule a televisit. Keep in mind that we do not offer annual physicals/well-child checks over televisit because many of these visits require accurate weight/height measurements, hearing/vision screening and/or vaccinations. Follow-up visits or visits such as medication or lab reviews can easily be performed as a televisit.

  • How does a televisit work?

First, call our office to schedule a televisit. Many times, we will try to schedule our televisits around lunchtime or at the end of the day, so that we can sit down and videochat with you after we have finished our in-person office visits.

When we are ready for your televisit, you will receive a no-reply text message from your provider with a link to connect to the televisit. Click on the link and allow microphone and video access. You should then be automatically connected to your provider!

  • What do I need for my televisit?

    1. A charged smartphone or tablet that has video/facetime abilities

    2. A quiet area with good lighting

    3. A list of your medications, if any. If you have multiple medications, it's helpful to have your prescription bottles nearby

    4. Measurements of your weight, temperature and blood pressure, if possible

    5. If the televisit is for your child, both a parent/legal guardian and the child must be present.
