Expecting Parents

Congratulations! We are so excited to welcome your growing family.

Prenatal visits

We offer complimentary prenatal visits so expectant parents can tour our offices, meet some of our team, and ask any questions about newborn care and what to expect after delivery.

What to expect

Our board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners provide experienced, evidence-based care for newborns and infants.

If you choose to deliver at CalvertHealth Medical Center, one of our pediatricians will come to examine your baby while you are in the hospital. In some circumstances, particularly during high respiratory illness seasons, we may limit in-person visits in the nursery to reduce exposure risk, in which case a pediatric hospitalist will examine your baby.

If you choose to delivery at another local hospital (like AAMC or St.Mary's), there will be a pediatric hospitalist who will care for your baby while in the hospital. Please call our office after baby is born and before you leave the hospital to schedule your first appointment!

We also accept newborns delivered at short-stay midwifery centers and provide in-office newborn screenings (including PKU testing), as well as coordination of hearing screening when needed.

Vaccine Policy

We strongly support the use of vaccines as a safe and effective way to prevent serious and potentially life-threatening illness. Vaccination remains one of the most important steps parents can take to protect their child’s health. Please refer to our Vaccination Policy page for more information.
