Parul S. Jani, MD
Dr. Parul Jani is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for adult patients with a focus on prevention, wellness, and long-term health. She believes strong patient relationships are the foundation of excellent medical care and takes the time to listen, educate, and partner with each patient in their healthcare journey.
Dr. Jani completed her residency training in Internal Medicine (Adult Medicine) at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and actively participates in Maintenance of Certificate (MOC) as advocated by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
With a commitment to evidence-based medicine and personalized treatment, Dr. Jani cares for a wide range of adult health needs, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.
In her free time, Dr. Jani enjoys gardening, listening to NPR, cooking healthy meals, and spending time with her grandchild.
Patricia Smawley, FNP-C
Patricia Smawley is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on both physical and psychiatric health and wellness. She believes in building meaningful relationships with patients and creating a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey.
Patricia Smawley completed both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Chamberlain University College of Nursing. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to pursuing her nurse practitioner degree, Patricia served the community for 10 years as a nurse in the local emergency department.
Patricia values the strong sense of community that Southern Maryland offers and enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, cooking, traveling, and making memories with her family.
